I often hear, "Wow, really, I had no idea there were a lot of security researchers that profess Christ!". Yep it's true. I won't list all of their names here, but I'm sure you can find out if you ask around. The hacking field is filled with some of the brightest people I know. Some think that education == enlightenment == no need for God. Actually this couldn't be further from the truth. Since God created science there's no such thing as God vs. Science. Believers are at an advantage in life, we get God and science!
For those who are skeptical and want to conduct your own search, and I believe you should, my all time favorite debate is between well known atheist and author Dr. Richard Dawkins and Christian apologist Dr. John Lennox. It's an event that gives fair treatment to both parties. It'll likely be the most worthwhile 100 minutes you spend this year, and possibly in your life.
On a more personal note, I'm willing and excited to share what God means to me personally, and why I have this great hope in Christ. Catch me at a security conference sometime and ask. :)
